The Geibu Dance Workshop invites participants to explore the distinct practice of movement, rhythm and spiritual essence born from Budō (traditional Japanese martial arts).

Through the distinct use of Kata, Ma and Ki, Geibu helps you discover a deeper connection between body and spirit.

In this workshop, you will learn how disciplined technique and expressive movement can coexist, allowing you to cultivate a strong sense of presence.

Geibu offers an inspiring way to awaken new physical awareness and experience the timeless spirit of Dō.

 

About the Author:

Katsumi Sakakura – an international dancer, choreographer and performer, known for his performances that blend Japanese tradition with modern art; he has performed at international events such as the opening ceremony of the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan and the opening ceremony of the IOC General Assembly. In 2022, he won the "Cool Japan Matching Award 2022", sponsored by the Cabinet of Japan.

Katsumi Sakakura is the founder of "Geibu", which expresses the unique "movement, rhythms, spirituality" of traditional Japanese culture as performing arts. ale spectacolului.
