WORKSHOP with MATEI VIȘNIEC

Dramaturgy and the Theme of War

The country: France

Location: Artcor

Durata:  1h 30 min (without break)

Content:

The playwright will explore how dramatic literature can address major collective traumas, drawing on his direct experience as a journalist during the Bosnian war.

Participants will discover how writing becomes an act of freedom and a form of resistance in the face of barbarism. The exercises will analyze fragments from the author’s plays written on the theme of war, including Caii la fereastră (Horses at the Window).

The workshop will address the paradox that peace is the exception, not the rule.

The meeting is intended for playwrights, actors, critics, and the general public.
