About the theater: The history of the "Eug\u00e8ne Ionesco" National Theater begins in 1990, when a group of 13 actors led by Petru Vutcarau, most of whom were graduates of the "BV Shciukin" Higher Theater School in Moscow, becomes an independent theater , obtaining the consent of Eug\u00e8ne Ionesco, the famous playwright of Romanian origin in Paris, to bear his name.<\/p>

In 1991, the "Eug\u00e8ne Ionesco" Theater became an official institution under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Moldova.\u00a0<\/p>

The general director of the theatre, Petru Vutc\u0103r\u0103u, a famous actor, director, and producer, works in a non-traditional, unusual manner that impresses the audience everywhere it performs.<\/p>

Shows after famous playwrights \u2013 Shakespeare, Chekhov, Ionesco, Labiche, etc. \u2013 are always present in the repertoire of the theatre. Eug\u00e8ne Ionesco National Theatre performed the award-winning plays The King Dies and Voices in the Dazzling Light across the whole world, from France to Japan.
